Fresh produce does not behave like other stock. It arrives by the case, sells by the case and by the unit, and has a short life. Mango's stock management is built around that: every delivery is booked in as a stock lot with its supplier, cost and country of origin, and every order draws from the oldest stock first.
That gives fruit and veg wholesalers and catering suppliers the traceability that accreditation audits and product recalls ask for, straight from the system. Every case sold traces back to the purchase order, supplier and country of origin it came from, and the full history of any order is there when an auditor or a customer asks.

Does Mango handle split cases?
Yes. Products can be sold by the whole case, by the loose unit or both. Cases and loose units are tracked in one stock ledger, so splitting a case to fill an order keeps stock accurate.
How does stock rotation work?
Orders take stock first in, first out, drawing from the oldest stock lots before newer deliveries.
What happens when an item runs short?
Shortages show as orders are allocated. You can substitute another product or mark the line as unavailable, and the customer's order and invoice show exactly what was sent.
Can I trace a product back to its supplier?
Yes. Every stock lot records its purchase order, supplier, cost and country of origin, and stays linked to the orders it filled.
How is cost of goods worked out?
From the stock lots that actually filled each order line, recorded against the invoice. Margin reports use that real cost rather than an estimate.
